Hi, I'm Juliet, and I'm based in Camberley on the Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire border. Thank you for stopping by to find out a little more about me. On a wedding day you'll be spending a lot of time with your photographer, so it's important to book someone you feel comfortable with. It's also really important that you 'get' my approach to documenting a wedding, so read on.
I have a relaxed and unobtrusive way of documenting a wedding and believe that natural candid images are far more meaningful than formal posed shots. My style is mostly 'as it happens' unstaged moments, but at times I'll also give a little direction to make the most of the light and surroundings. I'm also happy to take some classic family group photographs, but again, these can be as relaxed as you like!
I want you and your guests to feel special and enjoy having me around, not tortured! Much of the time you may not even notice I'm there. When you do I promise to be warm, friendly, and polite. Think traditional 'barky' wedding photographer, then forget it. That's not me, but I do come with nearly 13 years' experience of shooting weddings, and I'm a safe pair of hands!
My work has been featured on many wedding blogs including Rock My Wedding and Love My Dress, and featured in You And Your Wedding Magazine, Wedding Magazine, Wedding Ideas Magazine, and Bride. I've twice been shortlisted for best UK wedding photographer in the UK Wedding Awards.
The real measure of my success is happy clients though. I'm proud to share their feedback with you and you can read this on my Testimonials page.
I've been a professional photographer for 13 years, but originally trained in London as a nurse. It was hands on from day one, and a brilliant foundation for dealing with any situation. Later, fueled by my mother's tales of East End midwifery (real 'Call The Midwife' stuff), I became a midwife.
After marriage and 4 babies (yes 4, I'm a multi-tasker), I decided I needed to do something creatively fullfilling with my life, and so began this photography journey. First came family photography and then I photographed my first wedding. Referrals came by word of mouth, and I've never looked back.
I believe it’s really important to shoot for yourself. From everyday shots of my kids growing up, to documenting my grandmother’s final days, I know no other way that tells their stories with such power and emotion.
I'm an animal lover. We have ducks and chickens, and a possy of utterly ravishing but rather high maintenance Siamese cats! I also love a bit of interior design and have been renovating our 1930's home for a couple of years. If you want a nose you can see my dedicated insta feed here.
Please feel free to follow me on social media and do get in touch if you think I'm the photographer for you!
I have full professional indemnity and liability insurance.
I work mostly with Sony mirrorless body and lenses.
"I can't tell you how happy we are, you've literally smashed it! Captured our day and given us such amazing shots that we will cherish forever. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!"
