Spring Pastels At Great Fosters Hotel

Today I am sharing some images from the archives going back a few years to my very first styled shoot at Great Fosters Hotel in Surrey. I think I had shot just 1 or 2 weddings at the time, and was really keen to create some beautiful images, gain further experience, and work at one of my favourite venues. I hadn’t shot a real wedding there at the time (I have since), but I did have my own wedding reception at the venue (I felt quite the princess),  and loving the whole feel of the venue wanted to capture something good from the other side of the lens.

With help from my friend Debbie, we created this super soft pastel look for a Spring wedding. It’s stood the test of time pretty well, don’t you think? The frock was actually Debbie’s real wedding dress and we created the bouquet from a selection of flowers bought locally (we didn’t have links to top Surrey wedding boutiques and fabulous florists at the time). It remains one of my favourite bouquets, even if I do say so myself! Since then I have photographed many styled and editorial shoots, but I think this is still worth a look.
