Stoke Place Winter Wedding

A Gorgeous Laughter Filled Winter Wedding at St Andrews Church Windsor And Afterwards At The Historic Stoke Place

I’m delighted to share this absolutely brilliant Winter wedding with you that I shot just yesterday at St Andrews Church in Clewer Village Windsor, and afterwards at the beautiful Stoke Place.

I met up with Katie and Rob during the Summer to discuss their wedding plans, and straight away I knew we were going to have fun. These two are so good together, a perfect match, and their fun loving personalities make them just lovely to be around. Their wedding was to be my last of 2018 and I couldn’t wait to be there to document it for them. It was a really special day, and extra special for me because the church, St Andrews Clewer Village Windsor, was also where I got married!

I was joined by my lovely assistant Debs for the day, and we started cover at Katie’s parents’ home a short walk from the church. There were a few nerves, but mainly lots of laughs, as Katie and her mum, dad and siblings put the final touches to their wedding preparations. It really was the best day, full of laughter and good wishes from all their friends and family, and the perfect Winter wedding.

The candlelight ceremony was beautiful, and the music, supplied by Rob’s fellow Royal Marines musicians, just as good as you’d expect. Afterwards, guests were driven to Stoke Place by Routemaster bus and the bride and groom via a vintage Rolls Royce.  Incredibly, the same chauffeur and car that drove Katie’s parents to their wedding thirty years ago!

As soon as we arrived at Stoke Place I took Rob and Katie off to capture some beautiful portraits before taking some family group shots. Guests enjoyed Champagne and canapés and were entertained by live acoustic singer and guitar.

This was my first wedding at Stoke Place, an historic 17th century Queen Anne mansion set in acres of parkland. The ballroom, dressed with beautiful flowers by Lavender Green, hundreds of twinkly candles, and a gorgeous Christmas tree, literally looked like a Winter wonderland! The staff were exceptional and the fillet of beef amazing (thank you Katie & Rob!). I would be extremely happy to shoot more weddings at this venue and I’m very pleased to be able to share this wedding preview with you today.

Rob and Katie, thank you for choosing me to capture such an immensely important day in your life. It was very hard to narrow down a choice of photos to share with you in this preview, so I apologies for the sheer number. I don’t think you’ll mind! I wish you years and years and years of happiness together. You both deserve it so much. J x
