My 2017 End Of Year Roundup

So here is my 2017 end of year roundup and review. Expect to see the usual happy photos of brides and grooms, as well as a giant sloth, a pink mink, and a drag queen. These are not euphemisms. 🙂

This year I’ve decided to post a video slideshow of my best bits instead of my usual blog post, and hope you’ll enjoy looking through some of my many highlights of 2017.

I’ve had a really great year with so many fab weddings, returning to favourite venues such as Great Fosters, Pennyhill Park and Farnham Castle. I’ve also been lucky enough to shoot at some new venues, which have included; Cambridge University, Claridges in London, Wasing Park, and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a stones throw away from where I live!

It’s really been my couples though, who have made this a great year for me. They’ve all been so lovely to work with, and have made my job of capturing the most important day of their life a privilege and a complete pleasure. I’ve been shooting weddings for 10 years now, and I still get a real kick out of turning up to a wedding, seeing my couple excited (and sometimes just a bit nervous), and having a ringside seat of a deeply personal moment in their lives. This year I finally got to shoot a same sex wedding, in fact I shot two. I had a blast and hope this encourages more same sex couples to get in touch.

I really want to say a heartfelt thank you to you all. Firstly for reaching out and booking me to shoot such a momentous moment in your lives, and secondly, for allowing me into your lives and trusting me to capture both intimate and grand moments in my own way.

Next year is filling up pretty quickly, and 2019 is now open. Yet again I have some really super couples booked in. I can’t wait to get to know them and shoot many more epic moments.

I’m just going to end on some thank you’s.

Thank you once again to all my couples. Not just those who married in 2017, but all my couples going back over the years. Many of you still follow me on social media and are always so encouraging. It means a great deal to me.

Thank you to my fellow wedding suppliers. Too many to name, but florists, makeup artists, toast masters and the rest, many of us are self employed, but when we come together as a team we really do create something special for our couples.

A huge thank you to my photography pals, my wedding biatches, the girls in my virtual office, the ones I chat to on a daily basis. I honestly couldn’t do this job without your support, friendship, and council.

Finally, to my family. My ever-supportive husband, and my kids, who often get ignored for days on end during the busiest parts of the year. Thank you. <3

Happy New Year everyone.

Love Juliet
