A Summer Fete Style Wedding
We were expecting thunder and lightning of biblical proportions, but I’m so pleased to say the sun came out for Jenny and John’s special day.
The couple married in the family church (John’s father is the vicar), and celebrated afterwards with a relaxed Summer fete style reception in the churchyard. Then later the celebrations moved on to The Mitre Hotel at Hampton Court with the wedding breakfast being followed by a Ceilidh.
There was sunshine and laughter, kids blowing bubbles, The Gypsy Kings, Pimms on tap, and a veritable smorgesbord of delicious cake – all laid on by an army of volunteers. The celebration felt very special because of the sense of love and fellowship that surrounded this wonderful couple, and you’ll be able to see more of this super wedding soon.
Jenny and John, I feel like I have known you both for years. You are the only couple to have ever brought homemade cake to a first meeting! I knew then that I’d love the whole process of getting to know you and documenting your engagement and wedding day. It was a true delight to be there to experience and be a little part of it all. J x
