A Holiday To Tuscany ~ Some Personal Snaps

I finally got around to sorting through my holiday snaps from Italy this year. Hurrah I hear you say….. not! 😉

We travelled in August flying BA from Heathrow to Bologna, hired an absolute bus (all the MPVs were taken), and drove on to our beautiful rented farmhouse in Monterchi near Arezzo, Tuscany.

I do love Italy. The people are so warm and friendly, especially when you have kids, the food is heavenly, and as for the wine, well it’s sorprendente!! I of course sampled plenty of the local Prosecco, which was less than 5 Euros a bottle. There would be very little left on the shelf if they sold such a decent quality bottle of fizz in our local supermarket!

Much of the time we spent relaxing by the pool and we had great weather, apart from one biblical storm. The trip was bang in the middle of a busy wedding season, so recharging batteries was high on the agenda. However we did go for some wonderful walks as well as explored several medieval towns and hilltop villages.  Here’s a cross section, including some instagrams from when my camera became to heavy.
